The Quispe Textile Arts Center.
Samuel Mario Quispe Paredes was born in Ayacucho in 1987, but currently resides in Lima. Due to the terrorism of Shining Path during the 1980s, Samuel was forced to flee to Lima with his family when he was only one years old. By profession Samuel is an administrator, but for the past 20 years his passion lies with the textile arts which he learned from his father, the master weaver Wilber Quispe. Samuel dedicates the majority of his work to the environment, or Pachamama (Mother Earth), with the mission of maintaining art through culture.
